Symbolism of Taxes Revisited

Ok I have recovered from my headache and I have been thinking about the symbolism of taxes. I think I may have something.
Lets think about giving. Giving is a show of abundance when you give willingly. Giving is also a form of showing gratitude. The law of attraction would approve of this. The more you willingly give without expecting anything in return, the more the universe will provide to you to allow you to keep giving. However, many people do not give, or do so grudgingly. When that happens, the law of attraction says, “Oh, you want to have to give and not like it” so then you are given the opportunities to give grudgingly.
Now let me ask you, do you give to the government willingly? If this were a purely voluntary program would you shell out the money? Where is your gratitude, your willingness to give? Remember the law of attraction; what you throw out there you will get back.
I can here it now. “But the government waste my money”. Well so do your children, are you throwing them out? Yes the government does some stupid and insane things sometimes (read tomorrows post) but don’t your children?
Think of taxes as a lesson in “letting go”. You must let go willingly and know it is ok. Don’t begrudge the greatest country in the world its share. You live here, you work here, and you are blessed.
The Rules of The Game

A couple of weeks ago you learned how to find your passions with The Passion Test. Then last week you learned how to manifest what you really desire with I’m Rich Beyond My Wildest Dreams. This week I am introducing a book that changes all the rules of the game. Busting Loose From the Money Game: Mind-Blowing Strategies for Changing the Rules of a Game You Can’t Win
by Robert Scheinfeld is a revolutionary book about the way things really work. This book goes a step beyond the Law of Attraction.
Where the Law of Attraction still works within a frame work of game rules that we (human kind) have agreed to on a subconscious level, Busting Loose tells you how to change the rules altogether. When you are free from the constraints of the rules you start to create your own rules. I am not talking about break the law type rules. These rules are at a much deeper level. Many of them sound familiar to the Law of Attraction crowd:
There is a limited supply of money
Money flows in and out and is separate from you so that you have to go out and get it.
You must work harder or smarter to increase your supply of money
Even though the Law of Attraction also refutes these rules, Robert Scheinfeld takes it a step further. He explains how this game is designed so that you can’t win and that is why you must change the rules. Robert Scheinfeld shows how none of the beliefs and assumptions that are the basis for these money rules are true.
Then he leads you through the land of OZ where you will see that this is not just a Money Game but a Human Game. The steps for creating the new rules is explained in this very interesting easy to read book. Maybe these are the changes that will be coming to the human race in 2012 and beyond and it can start with you if you read this book.
“If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there’d be a shortage of fishing poles.”
—- Doug Larson
What is really important in this life? Is it your job? Is it your bank account? Is it spending all day on the computer? I believe it is relationships: relationships with God and relationships with each other. This is why being a mom or a dad is so important, this is the first relationship a child forms. These relationships are given lip service as being important but few actually live like it is important.
To Practice This Thought: Take time to “go fishing”, relax with some one you love. Deepen that relationship.
Tax time is upon me. I like to find symbolism in the most unlikely places. Taxes are one of those unlikely places.
What do taxes symbolize? On the material level they are a way for our country to pull together and provide funds for beneficial programs such as roads, urban housing, food stamps, work programs, military and many more. What do they mean on a deeper level.
Like Jesus said about paying the Roman taxes: Give unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s and to God that which is God’s. Is this the deeper meaning? I think it is a deeper meaning. We must give what is due to people for their work and efforts and that includes the Government.
Surely there is something deeper.
Let’s see what comes up. Taxes can be seen as:
A hazing ritual for a big fraternity that you go through every year.
A thorn in the side of the masses that overcomes race, sex or religion to bind us all together as brothers.
An attempt to level the economic playing field but as in most things every one still yells “unfair”.
I like this last one because a lot of people see life as unfair and to them the tax system is unfair. What is fair? I think we all have a “fair” opportunity at life but the only reason I can say this is because I believe we chose to be here and we chose the type of life we were going to have.
Yes, I chose this. Thinking like that means I chose the taxes. If I chose the taxes to enter my life there must be a reason. My head hurts, I’m going to bed.
This week winds down the surrogate tapping study. It has been fun and very productive for most involved. I have met many people and seen many different problems.
The next few weeks I will be putting together my findings and writing my report. If you want a copy of it, be sure and sign up for my mailing list at www.naturallyresilient.com.
I send a free tapping routine to all my subscribers the first of every month. Subscribers also get notice of special deals such as the Free Surrogate Tapping Sessions for the Study. Other past offers for subscribers included discounted private sessions, and e-workbooks for half price.

I had a beautiful calico cat once, or I should say a beautiful calico at one time had me, as a servant. Cats are never really owned. If they do not like where they are, they move on to a new place and start a new life.
I got her and my big black and white cat, Barney (who I have mentioned before) at the same time. After I picked out Barney I started looking for a female companion cat for him. When she saw that the black and white was out of the cage, she came to the front to present herself. She did not want to stay there behind bars. I saw that she was female and about a year old where Barney was 6 months, so I thought this would be a good match.
When I got them home, I was not so sure I had made the right decision. Callie spent the first three days hiding on a shelf in my closet. I finally forced her out and closed the door. She then proceeded to torment Barney, who was just a large overgrown kitten. It got so bad that I started thinking about taking one of them back, but which one? Barney was so cute and adorable, loved everyone and I really wanted to keep him. But Callie was female and older, two strikes against her for readoption and I was afraid she would be put down. What to do?
At night Barney would take up residence on my bed and start kneading and sucking, slobbering all over the blanket. I was getting tired of going to bed with a wet blanket. So one night I picked up a towel and Barney and headed to the living room. I set the towel down and Barney on top of it and petted him and talked. I told him that this was his momma and he could knead and suck it all he wanted. He finally got the hint and started on the towel. Callie finally came out of the bedroom to see what was going on. When she saw Barney sucking on the towel, she came over and started licking on him. At that point I realized that it would be ok and they would get along.
I just noticed these words on the back of a receipt.
Did you know that the 100% money back satisfaction guarantee is a product of our capitalistic American society? It developed as a way to emphasize that the company behind a product was so sure of their product they would give you your money back if you did not care for the item. Many companies use this marketing tactic very successfully. It gives the consumer a warm fuzzy feeling, a sense of confidence in the product.
When American companies started marketing this guarantee overseas in European markets, the local companies were very upset. They were telling the Americans, “You can’t do that”. Not only were the locals so sure the Americans would lose their shirts, but they were also afraid for themselves. They were afraid that they would be required to offer a guarantee to keep up with the Americans, afraid that they would lose everything themselves with such an offer. But it has not worked out that way.
The majority of people are honest. They are willing to pay for an item they use. But they also want the company to stand up and take responsibility when a product does not measure up. Let’s face it; everything does not work the same for everyone. Many of the people who do not have a good experience with a product do not seek the money back or replacement guarantee. They just write it off as experience and go on.
I think the companies would prefer to have some one return an item than just toss it out. If the company knows about the problem, they still have a chance to salvage the relationship with that person and maybe the many people that person comes in contact with. A retailer or manufacturer would much prefer to have a happy or at least an amiable referral than an antagonistic one.
I offer a 100% money back guarantee with my e-workbooks: “Flying with Confidence” and “Quit Smoking Now!” I know these are great products and I am willing to stand behind them (or in front of them). These are listed in the side panel on the right under “Products”
Yesterday I wrote about my friend’s manifesting experiences. Well there is more. Apparently her fiancé at the time (new future husband) was not really falling for the whole manifesting thing. She kept insisting that he give it a try himself. So finally he put pen to paper and wrote something out.
He was planning on going to school but needed a laptop computer for his classes. So he wrote that down. She told him he had to be specific so he wrote down the color, brand, and all the programs he wanted preinstalled, everything he could think of.
The next day at work his boss told him to take a ride with him to the bank. This was not unusual the boss usually asked someone to go with him when he went to the bank. What was unusual was that the boss just sat there a minute when they were at the bank and turned to Joe and asked, “So you are really planning on going back to school?” Yes was the reply. The boss then reached into the back seat and said, “I guess you will need this” and pulled out a black laptop and handed it to Joe. The laptop was the right color, brand, and all the trimmings that Joe had written down!
Joe has been a believer ever since.
Learn How to Manifest Your Desires

I have a great book for those who are trying to figure out how to manifest.
I’m Rich Beyond My Wildest Dreams–I Am. I Am. I Am.: How to Get Everything You Want in Life
By Thomas L Pauley and Penelope J. Pauley. This book leads you through their story on manifesting their desires.
After I read this book, I was having a discussion about the law of attraction with a friend and she commented that she did not have a clue about how to go about manifesting. So I loaned her this book.
Boy was she good at it. At the time of our discussion, she was living in a very small 3 bedroom 1 bath rental with herself and 5 children one of which was severely handicapped. She had spent Christmas at the hospital that year with the severely handicapped child and lamented the fact that she did not have a husband that could help her with all of this.
After she read the book she found a man and they fell is love. This new love in her life took her to see a ‘for sale by owner’ house. She said she had never considered looking in the ‘for sale by owner’ section of the paper. She fell in love with this house. It was an ultra modern 1950 style, lots of glass, lots of rock. It had 5 bedrooms, three bathrooms, a two car garage, various tool and garden sheds and a separate office/cottage with its own half bath. She couldn’t believe her good fortune. The house was easily three times bigger than her present rental. She worked the numbers and figured she could pay for it even after they got married and her love took a year out to go to school. That was almost 3 years ago and she is still enjoying her house, her husband and her new life.
Even though I do not watch the news (too much negativity) I have been hearing about Haiti and all that is going on. Everywhere I turn people are taking some kind of collection for them. If the supplies can get through the corrupt government without ending up on the local black market, the people should have quite a few supplies to help them out.
What they do not have is help with their emotional scars. What kind of emotional turmoil would such devastation do to a people, an individual? If you suddenly lost all your family, all your friends, your home, how well would you cope. We get upset when the dog dies. Would we curl up and die? No, we would learn to cope, we would get through it. The end of the world would be upon us but we would continue.
There is something we can do for the emotional turmoil in the area. We can send love and peace. We can do that by intentionally radiating the positive emotions toward the people affected. Sit for a minute and think on Haiti. Then feel peace and send that to them. Then feel calm and send that. Then feel love and send that. Think of the change that could occur if 1000 people sent such good intentions to them.
If you do EFT tapping or Meridian Tapping, try tapping out the emotions as you send them. You know what will happen don’t you? You will start to feel the peace, the calm and the love. You cannot send emotions without feeling them yourself.
