I have heard that if an idea comes to you from three different sources it is spirit trying to show you a truth. I have had the same basic idea come to me by three methods last week. One was through a teleseminar I was listening to; the second time was in a book I was reading. I was consciously waiting for the third time to show up because I felt it was coming. The third time came at church Sunday.
What was this idea? It has to do with the flow of energy or some might say the flow of life.
Life has ebbs and tides and you have to let it come and go. We often ‘buck the flow’. This is such a common thing that we have many sayings for it: kick against the pricks, ruffle his feathers, and rub the cat the wrong way. All are referring to life and trying to work against what is happening.
Life has its lows and its highs. We would all like to be on the high side as much as possible and that is why we try so hard to fight the lows. If we would realize that life is constantly changing the lows will not be so hard to handle. We need to learn to let go and ride with the flow of life. The lows will not last forever and neither will the highs.
Enjoy the highs while they are here but also realize the lows also will pass.
If we fight the lows when they appear, we end up prolonging them. It is almost like our lows have to reach their lowest point before our life can head back upwards. If we fight the lows, it takes a lot longer to get to the bottom of things and we end up suffering longer. Just remember that the lows are times for us to rest and take stock of where we are and where we are headed. Live the moment and feel the moment whether it is a high or a low and life will go smoother.
There is a whole other section on this flow that I will cover on Thursday.
I stumbled onto this and wanted to pass it on. I have always felt that Passion and Persistence were important for success, but this added a few other items.
The Rules of The Game

A couple of weeks ago you learned how to find your passions with The Passion Test. Then last week you learned how to manifest what you really desire with I’m Rich Beyond My Wildest Dreams. This week I am introducing a book that changes all the rules of the game. Busting Loose From the Money Game: Mind-Blowing Strategies for Changing the Rules of a Game You Can’t Win
by Robert Scheinfeld is a revolutionary book about the way things really work. This book goes a step beyond the Law of Attraction.
Where the Law of Attraction still works within a frame work of game rules that we (human kind) have agreed to on a subconscious level, Busting Loose tells you how to change the rules altogether. When you are free from the constraints of the rules you start to create your own rules. I am not talking about break the law type rules. These rules are at a much deeper level. Many of them sound familiar to the Law of Attraction crowd:
There is a limited supply of money
Money flows in and out and is separate from you so that you have to go out and get it.
You must work harder or smarter to increase your supply of money
Even though the Law of Attraction also refutes these rules, Robert Scheinfeld takes it a step further. He explains how this game is designed so that you can’t win and that is why you must change the rules. Robert Scheinfeld shows how none of the beliefs and assumptions that are the basis for these money rules are true.
Then he leads you through the land of OZ where you will see that this is not just a Money Game but a Human Game. The steps for creating the new rules is explained in this very interesting easy to read book. Maybe these are the changes that will be coming to the human race in 2012 and beyond and it can start with you if you read this book.
The Meaning of Life, The Universe and Everything

My apologies to Douglas Adams for the title of today’s post.
Have you ever thought about the meaning of life? I don’t mean to get real heavy on you today. This is Saturday after all.
When I was a teen, I asked my family what was the meaning of life and my sister-in-law piped up that it was to help people. That seemed like a strange answer to me and did not fit my life experiences. After all if that was the meaning of life, why were there so many people out there who needed help? If every one was helping then everyone should have all the help they could stand.
I wanted something deeper, more personal. You might say I have been searching for the meaning of life ever since. I suppose each of us finally settles on a meaning for our life. There probably is no one answer to this question, it is as varied as there are lives and some people give it a lot of thought and others see no reason to entertain the question.
I once heard a story about a little boy who came to kindergarten crying because his mother had lost his reason for being born (she had misplaced his birth certificate). How many of us have lost our reason for being born? Are we accomplishing what we came here for?
I think I am on track. I know I came here for a reason. But for some reason, I am not allowed to see the path clearly. Maybe if the path was well defined and I could see down the road clearly, I would be scared out of my wits. I know if I had known where life would have taken me so far, I would have been dreading the difficult spots and been too scared to go that route.
I guess I just have to live each day and see what happens and take the opportunities that present themselves. Maybe that is all any of us can do on this earth plane.
Yesterday I talked about Censorship of Governments.
What about censorship of the individual? There are times I can think of that I would have been smarter to have kept my mouth shut. Sometimes it is a big battle to hold that little tongue. It may be small but it is powerful and the strongest men sometimes have trouble controlling it.
How many times have words gotten you into trouble? Words can start wars. Words can also end them. That is a powerful thing, words.
We have such freedom now days to get our words across: Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, Websites. Smart companies scan the web to see what people are saying about them because those words they find have a major influence not just on a few people but thousands, and thousands can impact their business.
But it is still the one-on-one words that have the most impact. What you say to your children, to your spouse those are the most important words.
As we land in this Christmas Season remember your words to those around you. You may have to hold back on what you say because it is not the loving thing to do. If you find yourself short of breath when you do this, it is only natural as your breath (voice) is being stifled. Just tell yourself “yes, I want to say something but this is not the loving thing to say at this time and it is my choice not to say this”. Then you will be able to catch your breath.
A Need for Censorship?

December 15th, 2009 >> Censorship, Life, Relationship, Sacrifice, Truth
This topic has come up in my family recently due to my son writing an English term paper on censorship in “Fahrenheit 451” by Ray Bradbury. Did you know that book fell under censorship at one time?
Is censorship a good thing sometimes? Or is it always bad?
I understand that Google was only allowed into China when they agreed to censorship. Nothing about the Dali Lama and the Tibetan people is allowed in China.
What is China so afraid of Can they really keep their people in ignorance of what is going on in the rest of the world? Do they think their people are so gullible and ignorant that they will believe everything they hear? Or maybe they fear the opposite. Maybe China thinks their people won’t believe the powers that be any more. Is that a bad thing, for a government to have to toe- the- line and do what is right in the world and for their people not just for their ego?
When is censorship good? There was much censorship in the US in WWI and II. One of the sayings was “Loose lips, sink ships”. This was to keep our troops safe. If the enemy did not know our plans they could not prepare surprise attacks.
I guess it is how you look at it. I am sure the Chinese government honestly believes that censorship is needed to keep peace in their country. But then most of the rest of the world believes that kind of censorship is not good.
Yesterday I talked about NAET, which is geared to allergies, but there are forms of energy work that are geared to physical problems. One is Reiki. The reiki.org website explains it well. “Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.”
My husband has had Reiki training and explains it as a laying on of hands. He has used it to help my son with his headaches however he has not been as successful with my headaches. My husband says I hold on to them for some reason. I found out where my headaches are coming from when I had a life reading this summer, but that is a topic for another day.
Do you have a massage therapist that you really like? One that when you finish a session you feel a lot better and more carefree? They may be using Reiki or another form of energy work besides just massage. Chiropractors also tend to use a lot of the energy modalities. Our local military base has even allowed Reiki in to treat soldiers (but it is a through the back door operation. The military is not ready to openly acknowledge it because of complications with insurance coverage.)
Tomorrow I will talk about an energy method that our western medical doctors and psychiatrist are starting to use very successfully, but this one you can even do yourself.
I know about the “Law of Attraction”. I have seen “The Secret”. I just seem to be having trouble implementing this.
Something has been coming across my “desk” lately that is screaming at me about how to modify my thinking. When something keeps cropping up, I have learned that I need to pay attention to it.
Several different webinars and seminars I have heard lately have pointed me to the same thing. In fact this is the same thing I use to practice when I was young. What is this “thing”?
As the law of attraction says, what you think you attract. It is often hard to think positively when everything around you seems to be falling down on you. These lectures have reminded me that I use to create a desirable outcome by imagining all the ways something could happen.
For example, when I lost my ring as a teenager, I imagined all the ways it would be found and returned to me. It was found and returned but in a manner that I had not imagined.
That happened many times and I always thought God had a sense of humor, as the method was always one I had not expected.
I have decided to go back to that tactic. I have a good imagination. If I can imagine dire thing happening, I can imagine great things happening.
Will you try this with me? Let me know if anything good and unexpected happens in your life.
Why is it so hard to live in the now?
Our society and culture insist that we live in the past and the future. They say we learn from our past and can apply it to our future. But in living in the past we drag all our negative experiences and emotions into the present. Why do we do that? And in living in the future, we bring all our fears and worries back to the present.
Why don’t we bring all our good and happy memories to the now and why can’t we focus on a good and happy future instead of a negative one? Our mind seems to be so negative. But when we live in the present, all that falls away. We do not judge in the present, we just experience it. There is no fear in the present. That is not to say that the present situation will always be great and pain free. But we will not be borrowing pain from the future.
I have been reading Eckhart Tolle “The Power of Now”. It has great information about living in the now. As I have said before, the present is a present.
One day while meditating I asked my wise counsel “What does God want from us”. Does God want us to behave a certain way or to do certain things, if so, where is free choice?
The answer I received was that all God wants is a relationship with us that’s it. No expectations, no specific actions. But this relationship is hard for some to achieve.
God is truth and if you are living in illusion, not truth, you are far away from God and can not (or it is very hard to) have a relationship with God. So the people living in hate, cruelty, anger (which are not the truth of God) have a hard time getting to know God. You must be in God’s world – Truth – to actually get to know Him. The biggest truth to maintain is being truthful to yourself.
