Imagine Tapping

Posted by: Ann

May 21st, 2010 >> EFT, Meridian Tapping

There are times when you need to do EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) or Meridian Tapping but you are in a public area or would feel too embarrassed to tap in public. There are ways to deal with this. You can tap on the finger points only. You can do this under the table. I have gotten so good at finger tapping that I can do it one handed; using my thumb to tap the other finger points, and my index finger to tap the thumb point. When you tap with one hand and people can see you, it looks like you have a nervous twitch.

Where are these points you may ask. Hold one of your hands in front of you with the palm facing you. The points are at the top edge of the nail on each finger. If you thumb turns like mine, the thumb point would be the edge of the thumb nail closest to your body. This is where the nail and flesh meet.

There is another way to tap without anyone knowing. This is silent and inconspicuous and is all in your head. It is imagine tapping. Just imagine you are tapping on the points, this can get almost the same results as actual tapping! I have used this on numerous occasions. I have often used it on others. I just imagine I am tapping on them. It is amazing how effective this can be.

A great use for imagine tapping is when you are having a hard time falling asleep at night. Just imagine tapping on yourself for tension, release of tension, feeling relaxed and pretty soon you will find yourself waking up in the morning! Give it a try for yourself.

Dealing with Anger (part 2)

May 14th, 2010 >> EFT, Energy, Relationship

So your method of dealing with anger is not working too well. Maybe you have one of the anger related ailments listed in yesterday’s post but don’t really believe you have an anger issue.

When I was going through depression, I talked to someone who had experienced depression. He told me that his therapist told him his depression was caused from suppressed anger. At the time I thought, “that’s not me, I don’t feel any anger.” But isn’t that what suppressed means? You don’t know about it! I was working through a lot of self help books, trying to get better. One workbook said to write a letter to someone you are mad at. I thought, I’m not mad at anyone, but I decided to do the exercise anyway and started writing a letter to the first person who popped into my head. Let me tell you, there are no coincidences; there is a reason a memory, a person, an event, pops into your head. As I wrote the tears came and the emotion came out. Boy was I surprised! But the biggest surprise was how I felt afterwards. The depression was gone! That was 17 years ago and the depression has not returned.

But what if you know you have an anger issue and just acknowledging it doesn’t help. Let me assure you there are methods that can help. A great method is EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) or one of the other meridian tapping techniques. This can produce very fast and lasting results. My husband once had a difficult event that left him with much anger. He asked for my help. I did several rounds of EFT with him for the anger and it dissolved. He said afterwards it felt like there was a hole where the anger had been. He could feel where the anger had been but there wasn’t anything there now. That anger never came back and over time was replaced with compassion.

Your anger may be from a single incident  like my husband’s or from a multitude of events. It doesn’t matter, EFT can handle it all. Give it a try for yourself. Check out www.naturallyresilient.com and learn the technique yourself or better yet sign up for a session and get some personal attention. This kind of work can be done over the phone!

Is Your Fear Useful?

Posted by: Ann

May 11th, 2010 >> EFT, Life, Physical/Material

Do you have fear in your life? I would be safe to say we all do. Remember the bumper-stickers from a few years back that said “No Fear”? I always wanted to write below them “No Courage”. You can’t have courage without fear because courage involves doing what you know you should do in spite of the fear.

Fear was very useful many thousands of years ago. Back then it told you to run from that wild animal, it told you that your neighbor tribe was to be avoided, it kept you alive. We don’t usually have the same type of life and death issues as we did back then (I know some people do have these survival issues but the majority of us don’t) but we still have the overriding fear mechanism in place “to keep us safe”! Safe from what??? Ourselves?

Fear can be an overpowering emotion. It can keep you from doing what you want in life. It can keep you from doing what you need to in your life. You have to let go of the fear so it doesn’t become master of your life. That is often easier said than done. EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is very useful in helping to release the fear but what happens when you keep grabbing it back? Sometimes new issues keep presenting themselves which reenacts the fear in your life. You can keep doing the EFT and it will keep working. Many may think the EFT is not working when the fear keeps coming back. Let me assure you that the EFT is working but it is new issues that keep popping up to be dealt with. When you are in the middle of fearful situations you will have to apply the EFT many times a day.

There is another way out of the continual fear. This involves trust. Sometimes we just have to trust ourselves, trust the future and trust something greater than our physical beings. It is in that trust you can begin to let go of the fear. You can see new hope and possibility. That is what I did late one night several weeks ago. I reviewed all the fear I have had in my life since an early age. I reviewed the fear I have had in the past lives I know about. Then I decided enough was enough and I did not need the fear anymore. I then experienced a calm come over me. That calm has stayed with me ever since.

Let me know how you have dealt with fear in your life.

The Future in Constant Flux

May 10th, 2010 >> Change, EFT, Guides, Life

Ok, I am doing it again. I am still expecting some major change in my life. I don’t have a clue as to what it is but I keep seeing number sequences that point toward a major change. I have been using Doreen Virtue’s book “Healing with the Angels”, where there is a chapter at the back titled “Number Sequences from the Angels”. These numbers have been helpful in the past so I do tend to look at them.

Last night I woke up and looked at the clock which read 3:55. This morning I looked up the numbers and just like the number sequences I have been seeing over the last six months it indicated a life change. It said “The ascended masters want to prepare you for a big life change that is imminent. They want you to know that they are holding your hand through this change and that everything will be all right. Embrace the change, and look for the blessings within it.” What is going on?!?!

I know that life and the future is in constant flux. I think another name for life is change. We tend to prefer for things to remain constant around us because that is familiar. Even if we are in pain and mental anguish we are often afraid to take the first tentative steps out of the situation because it is a change. I work with people with pain issues using EFT and they get great results (while I am working with them) and I tell them they will have to do the homework daily for two or three weeks before the pain will totally disappear and will they do it? No! Next week they are back to where they were the week before because they won’t take action for themselves to enact change.

But when change is forced upon us? How do you handle change? I must be honest. I don’t usually handle it very good. I often get anxious which is a normal reaction because it is new territory. With all this notice I have been getting of a change and now in the last couple of weeks that change is imminent you would think I would be a nervous wreck but I am not. I am actually very calm and curious as to what will happen. As soon as it happens I will let you know what the change is. Maybe that is the change, being able to stay calm in the midst of uncertainty (I haven’t even had to do EFT to stay calm!). That is new for me.

Using EFT to Let Go

May 6th, 2010 >> EFT, Manifesting

Sometimes on a conscious level we may want something but on an unconscious level we are pushing it away. I found this happening with a woman in California. This lady had a house she had been trying to sell. She had already purchased a house in another part of the country and really needed to get rid of this California house. The housing market was not helping any and she was willing to try anything, no matter how unorthodox.

At her scheduled appointment, I quizzed her a little about the house, looking for attachment issues. EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is great with emotional issues and often our emotions will hit our logic over the head and take over when we don’t even realize that is happening. I found out that this was the house where she had raised her children. She had seen them grow up and move out. Now the house was too big and she had moved on with her life also.

Ah ha! This house symbolized a past she was afraid of losing! I now had an emotional tie. We worked on this issue and various aspects of it (letting go, keeping memories). At the end of the hour I suggested that she go to the house and perform a release ritual, going through each room and thanking it for being a good house and releasing each room to be used by a new family. I got word from this lady a week and a half later that the house was sold!

Sometimes we hold on to things and can’t let them go. I think this also happens sometimes when someone is in a coma and needs to move on but their loved ones just can’t seem to let them go.

Which is Better – A Rubber Band or EFT?

Posted by: Ann

May 1st, 2010 >> Change, EFT, Life, Meridian Tapping

Yesterday I talked about the placebo affect and how the placebo often gets better results than the actual medication. This just shows how powerful our minds really are.

You have seen people with the same disease or same circumstances. One will wilt and get worse and worse while the other will be upbeat with a positive attitude. The more upbeat person will be the one with the best chance of overcoming the problem. I think we all know this at some level. But if we know it, how come we don’t practice it. We know we will be better off and may even improve our lot in life but we stay in the depressed, down, woe-is-me syndrome.

What is required is a shift in attitude, but that is often easier said than done.

Years ago I had panic attacks. I did not like them. It limited what I could do. Even going grocery shopping was very difficult for me.  But how do you shift your mind?

I read that wearing a rubber band on your wrist and snapping it when ever you started to feel the anxiety would bring you back to the present. The premise is that the panic occurs because you are trying to live in the future. Well the rubber band helped … for about 3 seconds then the panic would be back. I flicked that rubber band so much I did not feel it any more.

I went to a workshop a couple years ago where they had us all put rubber bands on our wrist and then pull them back and snap them on our wrist. I don’t remember what the reason was for doing this at the workshop, but here we all were with rubber bands. The group I was standing with fidgeted and no one could get up enough nerve to snap their band. So right in front of them I pulled mine back a foot and let go. It made a big snap and every one was impressed. But the years of doing this for my anxiety had toughened me to that rubber band snap.

So how do you make changes to your attitude? How do you get past the fear and the anger? What did I finally do to get over my panic attacks? I used EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques). If you want help with your issue go to www.naturallyresilient.com.

Manifesting Your Bank Account

Posted by: Ann

April 29th, 2010 >> Change, EFT, Manifesting, Meridian Tapping, Physical/Material

I believe in the symbolism of life, everything around us including our aches and pains are there to represent something in our life. Often it is there to mirror how we feel about ourselves, or it maybe to reflect some other emotional state. With this in mind, I have an interesting idea. What does your bank account symbolize? Could it be a symbol of your perceived value of yourself? The numbers on your bank statement are just numbers, you give them meaning. These numbers are reflecting back to you your perceived value.

If this is true, you could change you bank account by changing your self value! If you struggle with money, you may be undervaluing yourself. But you may say, “This doesn’t apply to me. I think I am a great or at least good person with value to offer.” Let me counter that. Often symbolism shows up when we will not acknowledge an emotion, or a problem that we are having. Our ego tries to protect us by hiding our true emotions from ourselves, it doesn’t help that our culture has tried to teach us to smother our emotions. The physical manifestation appears to try and show us what is going on in our emotional life.

Our emotions drive so much of our life. It is our strong emotions that manifest things in our life. The law of attraction relies on emotions. The more intense the emotion the faster it will manifest.

So now that you realize that you have a low bank account and want more in it, what do you do? One method that can help change your emotional outlook is EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) or one of the other meridian tapping techniques. If you would like help uncovering the emotions behind what is going on in your life, go to www.naturallyresilient.com and sign up for a session. We can get to the bottom of it and make a change for the better.

A Shift in Emotions is a Shift in Energy

April 28th, 2010 >> EFT, Energy, Life

This is getting toward the end of the month and I am staring at next month’s bills wondering how to shuffle money to pay for them.

I woke up a little after 4:00 am this morning in my bill paying panic mode. I was laying there experiencing my monthly fears, doing a little mental EFT so I would not wake my husband. I started thinking how I have had fears all my life; they have just shifted in what I was afraid of through my life. Then I started thinking about the past lives I knew about and how they had a lot of fear in them. That was when I decided I had had enough fear and it was time to release it.

I then felt a calm come over me. It started in my legs and then crept all over me. I felt at peace and could not feel the fear. I was laying there amazed, then for some reason I was curious about the time. I looked at the clock and there was 5:55 on it. I have this recurring theme lately about waking and seeing 5:55 on the clock. This has been going on off and on for about 5 months.  I have a book by Doreen Virtue called Healing with the Angels that list number sequences that are messages from the angels. Since this number sequence occurred with a shift in emotions I decided to reread it and pay closer attention to what it said.

The book says for the sequence 555 “Buckle your seatbelts, because a major life change is upon you. This change should not be viewed as being ‘positive’ or ‘negative,’ since all change is but a natural part of life’s flow. Perhaps this change is an answer to your prayers, so continue seeing and feeling yourself being at peace.” This time the last sentence had a lot of meaning to me, so I will continue to be hopeful and will enjoy the sense of peace I woke to this morning.

Playing With Life

April 27th, 2010 >> Change, EFT, Energy, Life, Manifesting, Meridian Tapping, Vibration

There has been an idea coming to me over the last two years. I have always heard that if something comes to you three times you better take notice. Well this has been coming at me multiple times! The last one was Sunday when we were reviewing Ecclesiastes. This is a book in the Bible that is rather cynical as one of my classmates put it. We all agreed that it sounded like a teenager blogging their deep thoughts and questions, trying to make sense out of life. There was a kernel that jumped out at me. Ecclesiastes 3:22 states “So I saw that there is nothing better for people than to be happy in their work. That is why they are here!…”  This was just another version of what I have been confronted with over the last 2 years.

“Have fun”, “Play with it”, “Enjoy life” this is what I have been hearing over and over again. Am I that dull of a person that I have to keep being told to enjoy being here? My life has had some hard and rough patches or stretches over the last 18 years so maybe some one is trying to wake me up and tell me that it is ok to have fun again. It is hard to stop stressing about life when you have done it for so long. I am working with the various energy techniques I know such as EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), Meridian flushing and tracing, other meridian tapping techniques and of course “Law of Attraction” work.

I see playing with life, playing with energy flow, as being positive qualities that according to the “Law of Attraction” will bring more good and positive things into my life. I want to play with life and have fun!

Last year I did an experiment where I noted how I was doing emotionally and what happened in my life soon after my emotions changed. I noted that when I was feeling up and positive good things happened and life went smoothly. When I was feeling down, depressed and scared soon my life started attracting reasons to feel that way. The feelings always came first!

This year I am trying to stay positive, trying to play with life. I never thought of myself as a negative person but it has been a struggle.  Writing positive words on me has helped; also shifting to anticipating good in the future is helping me stay positive. I can often feel the energy flowing and I will often stop and play with it, raising its vibration. I will keep you informed about how the “law of attraction” goes with the positive thinking.

Benefits in Problems

April 22nd, 2010 >> EFT, Life, Meridian Tapping, Physical/Material

Play with me for a minute. Let us say that this universe, this world is a construct, a big hologram. Now let’s pretend that every thing in your life was put there by you in this holographic universe, how would you treat things differently?

Each piece of paper, each piece of clothing, each morsel of food was just a creation by you! What if every problem, every inconvenience, every catastrophe was put there by you for your benefit? Would you treat it differently? Would you start to look at it in a different light? Maybe you would start to see the benefit of the problem, or the inconvenience or even the catastrophe. I have had some events in my life that I would not take a million dollars to go through again but I also would not take a million dollars to give it up.

When something major happens in your life, look around, check to see if the event is actually to your benefit. You often can not see this if you are too close to the actual event, it often takes years to get enough distance from the trauma before you are able to look back and see the benefit.

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) can be used to help you get past the emotion of the event so you can see the purpose, the benefit. EFT and other meridian therapies are great at getting your emotions back on even ground when you have been sliding down the cliff.

If you have been sliding down a rocky cliff, check into EFT and sign up for my monthly tapping routine at www.naturallyresilient.com
