“I can feel guilty about the past, apprehensive about the future, but only in the present can I act. The ability to be in the present moment is a major component of mental wellness.” —–Abraham Maslow, 1908-1970, Psychologist
Are you like me? Do you tend to live in the future, Always worried about problems that never materialize? Or maybe you tend to live in the past, full of regrets for what might have been. The best place to live is in the present, the here and now. When you live the present moment the anticipated problems slide away and the regrets change into current opportunities. Remember the present is a present.
To Practice This Thought: Live today as if this is the only day that matters. I bet the whole day becomes more enjoyable.
