Healing with the Angels

I have often referenced a book by Doreen Virtue, PH.D. called Healing With The Angels. My usual reference to this book deals with a small chapter in the back called “Number Sequences from the Angels”. There is much more to this book than that.

The book is devoted to tell you that there are Angels and they are here to help you. They are here to help you with your love life, your career path and your family life. Doreen includes many examples of angelic intervention and, yes, dialogs with angels. Doreen talks about many of her clients and how the angels came to her or the client’s aid. Each chapter in the book contains many prayers to be used for specific issues such as “Prayer to Conceive a Baby”, “Prayer to Heal Parent-Child Relationships”, Prayer for a Friendship That is Ending” this is just a sampling from the chapter entitled “Angel Blessings for Your Family”.

Did you know that your pets have their own guardian angels? You can talk to them and ask for their help with issues. I’ve done this before. There was a time when I brought a new cat into the house. This new cat (Misty) and our existing cat (Harry) started butting heads right off the bat. It got real bad and I didn’t know what to do. I asked both cats guides to do something to bring peace between the two animals. It wasn’t long before a 3rd cat showed up at our door. He was a terror and made the ongoing fighting between the other two cats look like two kids in the back seat yelling “Mom, he touched me!” The two cats soon forgot their quarrel with a common enemy to be leary of. The terror cat soon disappeared. I can not say Harry and Misty became best friends but at lease they stopped their ongoing animosity. I will elaborate on the whole story one day in my Wednesday animal tales.

Other topics covered in the book include the afterlife, healing from grief, spiritual safety, healing past-life issues, and the Angels among us.

As a whole the book is a very fun, informative and easy read. I think I will go back and read mine once again.

Dealing with Anger (part 2)

May 14th, 2010 >> EFT, Energy, Relationship

So your method of dealing with anger is not working too well. Maybe you have one of the anger related ailments listed in yesterday’s post but don’t really believe you have an anger issue.

When I was going through depression, I talked to someone who had experienced depression. He told me that his therapist told him his depression was caused from suppressed anger. At the time I thought, “that’s not me, I don’t feel any anger.” But isn’t that what suppressed means? You don’t know about it! I was working through a lot of self help books, trying to get better. One workbook said to write a letter to someone you are mad at. I thought, I’m not mad at anyone, but I decided to do the exercise anyway and started writing a letter to the first person who popped into my head. Let me tell you, there are no coincidences; there is a reason a memory, a person, an event, pops into your head. As I wrote the tears came and the emotion came out. Boy was I surprised! But the biggest surprise was how I felt afterwards. The depression was gone! That was 17 years ago and the depression has not returned.

But what if you know you have an anger issue and just acknowledging it doesn’t help. Let me assure you there are methods that can help. A great method is EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) or one of the other meridian tapping techniques. This can produce very fast and lasting results. My husband once had a difficult event that left him with much anger. He asked for my help. I did several rounds of EFT with him for the anger and it dissolved. He said afterwards it felt like there was a hole where the anger had been. He could feel where the anger had been but there wasn’t anything there now. That anger never came back and over time was replaced with compassion.

Your anger may be from a single incident  like my husband’s or from a multitude of events. It doesn’t matter, EFT can handle it all. Give it a try for yourself. Check out www.naturallyresilient.com and learn the technique yourself or better yet sign up for a session and get some personal attention. This kind of work can be done over the phone!

Dealing with Anger

Losing control a couple of times can play havoc with your social life. Not only will people not want to be around you but you may find it hard to hold down a job. This can lead to more anger. Often others don’t understand, they think it is a lack of control on your part. Yes some people with a host of pent up anger do well at controlling the beast, but it is still there. It is always right under the surface.

Did you know there are a host of diseases that are anger related? We all know that anger based hypertension can lead to heart attacks. But did you know there are many other medical problems that have a basis in anger?

Dementia can be rooted in unresolved anger. You get so entrenched in a wrong from the past that you no longer live in the present. Problems with the gallbladder can be from feelings of anger. Think about the indignation and anger behind the saying “what gall!”

Often the anger is repressed and has to make itself known through disease. Many cancers get their start from anger, often repressed anger. The anger that is unacknowledged has to go somewhere so it comes out in a tumor.

From my own past I have experienced depression that was due to unacknowledged anger. As soon as I found the anger, the depression lifted. Before discovering the anger, I would have sworn that I wasn’t mad at anyone!

How about being fat? Often when someone can not seem to lose weight it is because it is not safe to lose the weight. The layer of fat is protection and with that need for protection there is often hidden anger. Find the anger and resolve it and the weight will melt away. This can often be emotionally draining work and will eventually require true forgiveness but it can be done.

And then there is anger at yourself which can be an underlying cause of Addison’s disease. Even Anemia can have a basis in being angry at yourself for not being able to control things.

So I ask again, how do you deal with anger?
How is that working for you?

If it is not working for you, read tomorrow’s post.

Is It Real?

Last Wednesday there was a story about a frog scaring a mom, today I have another scream for you. This is a story told to me by one of my college roommates (Forgive me for telling your story Holly). When she was a young teen her family moved to a large old house in need of renovations. They were constantly having construction workers and delivery men coming to the house. One morning the doorbell rang and Holly answered the door to find another delivery. The man was insistent that an adult sign for the materials so Holly left him in the front entry and went in search of her mom.

In the entryway was a shelf on which rested several ornaments one of which was a large white rabbit. There was another resident in the house, Holly’s solid black Persian cat, Rover (her brothers wanted a dog, but that is another story). This day Rover had decided to sit on the shelf with the white rabbit. I could just see how they would complement each other; a solid white rabbit and a solid black cat, both looking very ornamental.

Holly was having trouble locating her mom so the delivery person was patiently waiting next to the shelf. Right after Holly located her mom, they heard a blood curdling scream from the front entry and a loud exclamation “It’s alive!”. I can just imagine it now, Rover sitting on the shelf real still in her regalness then slowly turning her head to look at the delivery man. That particular delivery man never came back to the house

Is Your Fear Useful?

May 11th, 2010 >> EFT, Life, Physical/Material

Do you have fear in your life? I would be safe to say we all do. Remember the bumper-stickers from a few years back that said “No Fear”? I always wanted to write below them “No Courage”. You can’t have courage without fear because courage involves doing what you know you should do in spite of the fear.

Fear was very useful many thousands of years ago. Back then it told you to run from that wild animal, it told you that your neighbor tribe was to be avoided, it kept you alive. We don’t usually have the same type of life and death issues as we did back then (I know some people do have these survival issues but the majority of us don’t) but we still have the overriding fear mechanism in place “to keep us safe”! Safe from what??? Ourselves?

Fear can be an overpowering emotion. It can keep you from doing what you want in life. It can keep you from doing what you need to in your life. You have to let go of the fear so it doesn’t become master of your life. That is often easier said than done. EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is very useful in helping to release the fear but what happens when you keep grabbing it back? Sometimes new issues keep presenting themselves which reenacts the fear in your life. You can keep doing the EFT and it will keep working. Many may think the EFT is not working when the fear keeps coming back. Let me assure you that the EFT is working but it is new issues that keep popping up to be dealt with. When you are in the middle of fearful situations you will have to apply the EFT many times a day.

There is another way out of the continual fear. This involves trust. Sometimes we just have to trust ourselves, trust the future and trust something greater than our physical beings. It is in that trust you can begin to let go of the fear. You can see new hope and possibility. That is what I did late one night several weeks ago. I reviewed all the fear I have had in my life since an early age. I reviewed the fear I have had in the past lives I know about. Then I decided enough was enough and I did not need the fear anymore. I then experienced a calm come over me. That calm has stayed with me ever since.

Let me know how you have dealt with fear in your life.

The Future in Constant Flux

May 10th, 2010 >> Change, EFT, Guides, Life

Ok, I am doing it again. I am still expecting some major change in my life. I don’t have a clue as to what it is but I keep seeing number sequences that point toward a major change. I have been using Doreen Virtue’s book “Healing with the Angels”, where there is a chapter at the back titled “Number Sequences from the Angels”. These numbers have been helpful in the past so I do tend to look at them.

Last night I woke up and looked at the clock which read 3:55. This morning I looked up the numbers and just like the number sequences I have been seeing over the last six months it indicated a life change. It said “The ascended masters want to prepare you for a big life change that is imminent. They want you to know that they are holding your hand through this change and that everything will be all right. Embrace the change, and look for the blessings within it.” What is going on?!?!

I know that life and the future is in constant flux. I think another name for life is change. We tend to prefer for things to remain constant around us because that is familiar. Even if we are in pain and mental anguish we are often afraid to take the first tentative steps out of the situation because it is a change. I work with people with pain issues using EFT and they get great results (while I am working with them) and I tell them they will have to do the homework daily for two or three weeks before the pain will totally disappear and will they do it? No! Next week they are back to where they were the week before because they won’t take action for themselves to enact change.

But when change is forced upon us? How do you handle change? I must be honest. I don’t usually handle it very good. I often get anxious which is a normal reaction because it is new territory. With all this notice I have been getting of a change and now in the last couple of weeks that change is imminent you would think I would be a nervous wreck but I am not. I am actually very calm and curious as to what will happen. As soon as it happens I will let you know what the change is. Maybe that is the change, being able to stay calm in the midst of uncertainty (I haven’t even had to do EFT to stay calm!). That is new for me.

A Book on Crystals

May 9th, 2010 >> Books, Energy, Vibration

Since I was talking about crystals and my new jewelry product (Spirit Guided Jewelry) I thought I would talk about the book on crystals and gemstones I use for a reference which is The Illustrated Directory of Healing Crystals: A Comprehensive Guide to 150 Crystals and Gemstones
by Cassandra Eason. There are several books on crystals out there and some are more popular than this one. But I prefer this one as it is smaller, more concise, and easy for locating specific properties.

The crystals are divided by color with some stones being listed in several sections because they come in different colors such as quartz which comes in ‘milky quartz’, ‘clear quartz’, ‘blue quartz’, ‘rose quartz’, you get the picture. Even though these are all quartz, each type has its own properties.

Each crystal has a side bar with concise information on ‘Symbolic Associations’ some of which may be meaningful to you and some may be meaningless. The Symbolic Associations include associated zodiac sign, planet, element, candle color, guardian angel, chakra, herbs, incenses and oils, flowers, and associated crystals. I tend to only be concerned with the chakra in that section. The main description for each stone is organized into sections. The first is background information such as mythology or history of the crystal. Some of the older more well known crystals may have several paragraphs of mythology and history but most are shorter. The second section talks about the divinatory significance, this is when you randomly pick a stone and then look at it’s meaning and apply that to your life.

Next section is ‘Healing and the Environment’ which explains the stones healing properties and how to use it. For example, some stones are placed on the afflicted area others are soaked in water for a certain length of time then the water is used to gargle or drink.

Next section is the stone’s uses at work and home. This section tells you how to use the stone to help in family maters or in work related problems. The various crystals and their uses are very diverse; you have to read them for yourself.

There is a section on ‘Children and Animals’. I was surprised to see that some stones are labeled as too strong to be used with children. There were other stones I would like to tie around my cat’s neck to help with his nervous disposition.

The next section deals with ‘Psychic Associations’. This talks about clairaudience, visionary qualities, past-life recall, increasing intuition and many other properties. Of course each crystal has it own abilities and uses.

The last paragraph tells how to recharge the stone. Over time and use the stone may pick up other vibrations and need to be cleaned and recharged. Different stones may require different cleaning methods. Some stones do well laid out in full sun while others would crack if they were treated in that way.

This is a very informative book and I have enjoyed just reading over the different properties and circling which crystals I would like to have in my collection.

Create Your Own Rules

May 8th, 2010 >> Energy, Manifesting, Physical/Material, Truth, Vibration

We all live by rules. Some rules are there to protect you. Some rules are created to level the playing field. Some rules are just to make the game more interesting.

We have legal rules to keep us safe. Then there are general and globally accepted morality rules about relationships, food, money, religion and a host of other areas. Each culture and country has rules on social behavior and acceptable ideologies. Then there are more personal rules that we create for ourselves. These rules are often a refinement of the more global rules such as: I will never find that perfect partner, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer and I just can’t lose weight.

These rules hold true of us because we created them. But on the personal level, what is true for one may not be true for another. We manifest these personal truths into being. How do you manifest them? By putting energy into the idea. To manifest something you have to start with an idea. Then you add your passion, your energy, your emotion. Over time that extra energy solidifies into reality. The reality may start as an idea, such as “I can’t lose weight” that manifest into being overweight.

From what I have read about manifesting, answered prayers and even the paranormal activity some police departments run up against, it is intense emotion that creates things. I have found from personal experience in my prayer life that the more intense, emotional prayers get answered the fastest. I have heard and read many true life stories where some one in the midst of strong anger had extraordinary experiences such as: ironing clothes with a hot iron that was never plugged in, seeing objects falling off shelves and other objects being thrown across the room, witnessing objects appear in thin air. Often when someone feels their house is haunted and they move but the haunting continues in their new home, it is because their own strong emotion about something is still with them. It is the emotion that is creating the haunting activity not another entity.

If we are so good at manifesting, why don’t we direct that energy and create a more desirable life for ourselves? I believe we are attempting to learn that right now. Some people can do that. Some people seem to have a natural ability to manifest what they want. Maybe the rest of us are trying too hard. I would love to create my own rules and manifest what I want at will. I’ll let you know when I get there.

Is Reality Really Real?

Posted by: Ann

May 7th, 2010 >> Change, Life, Physical/Material, Truth

I have been reading a lot of things lately that are playing with the accepted definition of reality. We have an expected reality. We expect that table to really be there. We expect that chair to support our weight. We expect ourselves to have weight!

When someone steps beyond our reality we tend to get nervous and want to call the men with the white coats. Who is this person to tell me that table doesn’t really exist? Who do they think they are? Can’t they see it and feel it? They must be crazy. Those men in the white coats better have strait-jackets with them.

Let’s play with the idea that nothing really does exist. Everything is a construct. Just like Shakespeare said “All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players:” Everything is ‘fake’. If it is ‘fake’ then what is the purpose for this construct? Maybe like the stage in Shakespeare’s quote, we are here to play, to entertain, to be entertained, to be someone we are not. That may be it! To be… someone we are not.

On the other side, in the spirit realm, things may be too perfect so to experience challenges and stress and to play at being someone we are not; we audition for parts and get to go on stage. What we call ourselves also implies this, think about the term human being. We are being human for a while. This elaborate setup provides opportunities for us to experience, learn and grow.

If this is a construct, who constructed it? I would venture to say that not only has a higher power had something to do with it but we all have made a contribution. We are all in on it. We have agreed to certain ‘rules’ to live by. We feel the table. We see each other. We have to eat to survive. What would happen if all of a sudden we decided that this was not true and it all vanished? There have been some people through time that have altered their reality. Some have been declared Saints, some have been killed for their abilities (but then if this is all fake, do we really die?). There are people alive today who do not play by the rules or who have created different rules to live by.
Wouldn’t it be fun to create your own rules and life by them? Tomorrow I will write about that.

Using EFT to Let Go

Posted by: Ann

May 6th, 2010 >> EFT, Manifesting

Sometimes on a conscious level we may want something but on an unconscious level we are pushing it away. I found this happening with a woman in California. This lady had a house she had been trying to sell. She had already purchased a house in another part of the country and really needed to get rid of this California house. The housing market was not helping any and she was willing to try anything, no matter how unorthodox.

At her scheduled appointment, I quizzed her a little about the house, looking for attachment issues. EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is great with emotional issues and often our emotions will hit our logic over the head and take over when we don’t even realize that is happening. I found out that this was the house where she had raised her children. She had seen them grow up and move out. Now the house was too big and she had moved on with her life also.

Ah ha! This house symbolized a past she was afraid of losing! I now had an emotional tie. We worked on this issue and various aspects of it (letting go, keeping memories). At the end of the hour I suggested that she go to the house and perform a release ritual, going through each room and thanking it for being a good house and releasing each room to be used by a new family. I got word from this lady a week and a half later that the house was sold!

Sometimes we hold on to things and can’t let them go. I think this also happens sometimes when someone is in a coma and needs to move on but their loved ones just can’t seem to let them go.
