Life Force is Tied to Your Passion

This is something I have mentioned before, living your passion. But this time I want to approach it from a different angle.

We all have things we really enjoy doing or wish we could make a living at or maybe just something to which you want to devote a lot of time. But many of us do not live our passion. I want to encourage each of you to live your passion.

Why? Because that is where you get your energy, it feeds your life force.

I listen to a number of teleseminars and I remember hearing a couple of different interviews where the subject was the life force or energy of people. One interviewee was commenting that he had seen the life force of people drop drastically just in the 15 –20 years he had been doing the research. He was commenting that the force was very low right now.

I believe that living our passion is directly related to our life energy. If we are not in our passion we are not receiving the energy we desperately need to thrive.  So few people actually live their passion right now. No wonder our energy is so low.

Our passion is our driving energy it is the reason we are here. Yes we can live without fulfilling a passion but are we really living or just existing.

Have you ever been so involved in something that you were not aware of time passing? I have. I would start working at 8 in the morning and be so inspired that when I finally realize my stomach was growling and I looked at the clock it would be 4pm!

Feed your energy. Feed your life force and live your passion.

I have read about a man that decided his passion was reading esoteric literature, things along the line of manifesting, self help, spirituality, meditating. So he quit his job and started reading. About 6 months later he realized his funds were getting low and he needed to do something if he wanted to keep eating. He told several people what he was learning and he started getting dinner invitations. He was booked for dinner every night because people were interested in what he was learning. Then the group talk request started coming in and he actually started making a living based on his passion for reading weird stuff.

This is important stuff. You must find a way to live your passion because that will feed your energy.

Want to Learn More About Energy Medicine?

January 24th, 2010 >> Books, EFT, Energy, Meridian Tapping

The Bible in the energy medicine world is Donna Eden’s book “Energy Medicine”. This is a must have for anyone serious about energy work. I have read through the book and then tabbed various sections and refer back to them often.

Since I have incorporated her meridian tracing into my morning routine, when I give blood it goes much faster than it use to. Before, 3 people would come and go in the chair next to me while my bag was filling but after tracing meridians for several weeks I was like the normal people around me, in and out in a jiffy.

Donna Eden covers all types of things. Not only the meridians but also The Aura, Celtic Weave, Basic Grid, Five Rhythms, Strange Flows and of course the Chakras. She also list Acupuncture Tapping Points and it is interesting to see how these differ from the EFT points I learned.

This is a very good book and I cannot emphasize enough that you need this book if you are doing any serious energy work.

Tax time again!

Ugh, it is that time of year when I drag out the receipts and get the books in order and start working taxes. We have several businesses, S-Corp, LLC’s and our own personal taxes.

Call me weird but I actually like doing them. There is something soothing about working with numbers. They always mean the same thing; I also like to see the progression as I work through the forms. It gives me a sense of accomplishment. I don’t usually owe anything so that also makes it easier.

A number of years ago, our taxes had gotten so complicated I was not sure I was doing it very well so I took a H&R Block class and was one of their star pupils. They hired me and I worked taxes for them for several years. It is very interesting when you are trying to do taxes for some one who does not speak English and you don’t speak Spanish. There is something to be said about being bilingual.

Back to work.

Are You Spiritual, Religious, Both or Neither?

January 22nd, 2010 >> God, Spirituality

I may be opening a can of worms but here goes.

As I get more into holistic health and energy therapies, I feel as if I am getting more and more spiritual. It is almost as if I cannot separate the two. I cannot imagine being one with out the other.

The other day I had a discussion with someone about energy therapies, EFT and Meridian Tapping specifically and saw their hackles rise when I mentioned how it was bringing me to a more spiritual place. She was real against the word spiritual.  Maybe her definition and mine were different.

I went to my Webster Dictionary and looked up spiritual. There is the vague definition of “relating to, or consisting of spirit”. Then there is the second definition of “relating to sacred matters”. The third one says “concerned with religious values”. Maybe I was going with the second definition and she was gong with the third but I don’t think so. She seemed to be real against spiritual.

This reminded me of a conversation I had with a friend who is now in seminary. I once mentioned that I was spiritual but not really religious. She just could not see how the two could be separated. Like many people, I have had bad experiences from my youth that left a bad taste for anything religious but I do like the spiritual aspect. I meditate, talk to my guides, angles, God and look for inspiration from the spirit realm. Some people may say I am religious because I go to church regularly. But I have been known to say that if my religion ever interfers with my spirituallity it will be the religion that goes.

I guess I see the religion as being a man made tool to try and get us closer to God or the Universal Power. It is when our man made tools become more important than what they were installed for in the first place that they start to hinder instead of help. Then it is time for them to be replaced.

So are you spiritual, religious, both or neither? Take part in my survey. http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/L85CQS3

EFT Surrogate Study One Week Left To Sign Up

Posted by: Ann

January 21st, 2010 >> EFT, Energy, Meridian Tapping

You have one week left to get in on the surrogate study I am running.  January 31 will be the last day to sign up for the study. I would love to have you participate as the more people, the better the study will be.

Surrogate tapping is when someone (me in this case) performs the EFT on themselves on the behalf of someone else (you). You do not need to be there or even be aware of when the session is performed.

To learn more about surrogate tapping log into www.naturallyresilient.com and sign up for the free monthly tapping routine and receive the free  “Surrogate Tapping -How to do it” report.

If you are interested in participating, just leave a comment (I screen comments so your comment will not be shown to the public) and I will send you a questionnaire to determine the best tapping routine to use for your problem. Don’t be shy, let me hear from you. It won’t hurt and it can only help.

The Cat Scratching Post

January 20th, 2010 >> Animals, Cat

(The following story was written by my husband, Paul McKinley as it happened to him before I entered the picture.)

Years ago I got two kittens who were almost litter-mates – they were out of 3 litters born within a few days to related queens (momma-cats).  One of them was a darker brown tiger with white patches (or is it white with dark brown tiger-stripe patches?), who had a funny patch on his nose that reminded me of Groucho Marx’s fake moustache.  Did you ever notice that Groucho Marx’s moustache was painted on?  You could tell because it would reflect the set lighting.  So naturally, I named him Groucho.  The other kitten was the runt of the litter, a pitiful little waif with mostly light-gray tiger stripes and a few white patches.  What with the other kitten being named Groucho, this one reminded me of Harpo Marx, so I named him Harpo.

Harpo was a funny little guy.  He seemed to have a bit of cerebral palsy.  You’ve seen cats “lock on target” when they focus on something to pounce.  The more Harpo would focus on something, the more his head would shake from side to side.  I also remember one Thanksgiving when Harpo was maybe 6 or 8 weeks old, we’d put the turkey carcass out for the cats to eat their fill of scraps.  Harpo gorged so much of that turkey that his little body was shaped like a large orange with toothpick legs and little fuzzy string tail sticking out, and you could almost feel from his expressive face the agony over having eaten too much.

The cat scratching post was a homemade one I’d found that someone had thrown out.  It was two 2×4’s nailed together and covered with carpet.  It was just long enough to jam tight between the floor and the ceiling.  Knowing that cats like high perches, I added a “t” shelf to the post about 6 feet off the floor – just big enough for a cat to sit or lie on either side.  Later on I added a string hanging from the end of one of the shelves, with a small piece of wood tied to the bottom so that it would hang a foot or so off the floor.  Harpo and Groucho would bat the wood around and it was hysterical to watch.

One day I was watching TV, sitting where furniture blocked my view of the bottom of the scratching post.  Harpo had been on one of the shelves, but decided to climb down.  Now you know that cats don’t climb down head first just the same as you don’t go down a ladder head first – they “back” down.  And Harpo, being naturally a good-natured cat, always had his tail straight “up” – to him, which meant while he was sidling down the scratching post his tail was sticking out horizontally — and sweeping from side to side as he shifted his weight from one back paw to the other.  Apparently he chose the side of the post to sidle down where the string was hanging, so as he sidled down the post his tail was swiping the string with each sweep.  This wasn’t a problem until he neared the bottom of the post where there were only 4 or 5 inches of string left.  At that point his tail striking the string was enough to make the wooden weight sling around and wrap the string several times around his tail, effectively tying a knot around his tail and holding his hindquarter up where his back feet couldn’t quite touch the ground.  I was focused on the TV and not paying attention to what Harpo was doing, so I didn’t notice this happening, until…

I remember over the course of 15 to 20 seconds hearing Harpo crying, starting with a “hello, what’s this?” to “#*@&&#$!” to a frightened “It’s got me!” to a frantic “AAAAAAGHHHH”!  I looked around to see what was the fuss, and saw Harpo, hanging limp with his forequarters laying on the floor and his hindquarters up in the air hung by his tail, with a terrified but resigned look on his face.

Naturally I jumped up and released him.  I also removed the string from the scratching post — I didn’t want the same thing to happen to his other end.  I still laugh at the range of emotion displayed in his cries when he discovered he’d been caught!  Harpo was such a funny cat!

Want a Better World?

January 19th, 2010 >> Life, Manifesting, Physical/Material, Relationship

You were born with certain gifts and talents. This is what makes up your inner self. Many people deny their gifts and talents because of upbringing, society or what well-meaning teachers said to them. We tend to bury them and say the “c” word, can’t.

Remember your gifts and talents are what you bring the world. You are here for a reason. Each of us can make a difference in the world because each day we are creating our lives, our surroundings and our world.

If you want a better world you must start with yourself and the here and now. Make time to use your gifts and talents. This doesn’t mean selling your house, quitting your job and uprooting your family. Start simply. Cook something for the co-worker who is going through a rough time, let them know you care. Join the local acting guild. Start writing that book you always wanted to write. It doesn’t matter where you start, just start. Then let it lead you. You may find yourself selling your house, quitting your job and uprooting your family, but at that point it will feel like a natural progression, not forced.

Just share your talents and gifts with the world. We need you.

Your Face has Property Value

January 18th, 2010 >> Life, Relationship

A smile increases your face value

I received that in a fortune cookie Sunday. Fortune cookies no longer tell fortunes; they seem to just have sayings in them. Sometimes the sayings can pack some meaning such as the one I received yesterday.

Think about it a minute.

Face value, what does that mean? A couple of things come to my mind.

It could be like property value. The value of you as a human has just increased. When you smile at some one that person feels better and automatically think better of you, increasing your value to them as a person.

Look at it from the opposite end. Think about the couple that always bickers. Their value to each other keeps going down until one wants a divorce. I have heard many stories and read enough self-help books that say if only one partner will start to smile and act kinder and more accepting, the other partner will soon follow suite and the marriage is saved.

Another way to look at face value is in a more literal way. Your face just looks better, prettier with a smile on it.

So put a smile on the next time you go out and increase your value.

Your Passion is Your Inner Power

Where does inner power come from?

I believe it comes from your passion. Your passion is your strength as it can move mountains. Don’t tell me that Napoleon did not have a passion. It might have been a misplaced passion to conquer the world, but he had a passion. All the great people we admire had a great passion for what they did. Mother Teresa felt compassion and developed a passion to help the unfortunates in Calcutta.

Did you notice how the word compassion has passion in it?  I believe that is not a coincidence.

Passions can develop and change. What you were passionate about when young may be totally different 20 years later so it is always good to review your passions. If you are at a lost to what your passions are get a copy of “The Passion Test” . This book will help you discover who you are and what your passions are. If you know your passions, you are halfway to discovering your destiny and changing the world.

Inner Power Changes the World

Posted by: Ann

January 16th, 2010 >> Energy, Life, Manifesting

I have always been fascinated with what it takes to change the world.

How can one person create major change? I remember reading stories about kids not yet teens, who had made an impact on the world or at least their corner of it.

When I was young, I had no idea I could do anything like that. I didn’t even have control of my own life what would make me think I could do anything significant in the world, so I didn’t. It wasn’t until I turned 50 that I felt an energy shift and started realizing that one person can make a difference.

It is not an external power that creates change but an internal power acting on the external world. Every one knows that Napoleon was short, he was only 5’2” but did you know that Alexander the Great was only 5’. These people were small of stature but they had large internal power that they acted on the world around them.

I just watched the movie “Gandhi”. That was a man who assumed a figure of little power but because of his great internal power he accomplished much for many people.

The next question that begs to be answered is how do you get that strong inner power?

I will leave that for later.
