There are many different Meridian Tapping Techniques but the most well know is EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), which involves tapping on specific acupuncture points. The idea is to cover the entire meridian.
By putting energy into the system you can unblock the system. Think of it as being similar to using a plunger to unblock a drain. Tapping is great at unclogging the emotional system. The clogs may be due to phobias, fears, anger, jealousy, etc, all of which we consider to be “negative” emotions. I have successfully cleared fear of heights, fear of flying, fear of spiders. Many times it only takes a one-hour session to clear others may take a couple.
What I think is interesting is that the tapping does not affect positive emotions. I have developed a reason for this. We come into this world with the fruits of the spirits. The love, peace, hope. These are innate in our being. As soon as we are born, we start tacking on the negative and we insist on carrying that baggage around with us the rest of our lives. Or maybe we just don’t know how to let go of it. This negative baggage can affect us not just mentally or emotionally but also physically. I have found that so much of our emotion is lodged in our body producing pain. I have cleared so many back pains that were emotionally induced. I will tell about some of these tomorrow.
Meridian Tapping provides a great way to release these negative emotions. Give it a try. You may be as impressed with it as I have been.

I learned tapping back in 1983, and since I was working with fear of flying clients, I tried it. But, I was not able to get good results. Fortunately, we had other methods, and over the years, developed them to get good results in virtually every case.
Fear of flying is, to me at least, fascinating. I’ve worked with fear of flying clients since 1980 as both a therapist and as an airline captain. Over the years, I’ve learned it is caused in a very different way that it appeared to be, and the way to fix it effectively is also different than what people think works. I have a video that explains some of this at http://www.fearofflying.com which is based on all these years of experience, study, and research.

Meridian tapping techniques have come a long way since 1983. EFT is very effective in neutralizing any form of “negative” emotions.

I have found EFT to work better when I use the plain? vnlliaa EFT line: Even though I have this feeling (sensation, emotion, fear, etc) I accept myself totally and I forgive myself completely. Leave out it feels overwhelming et al specifics. The part where you say even though I have THIS feeling is where you elicit the global sense of whatever is going on. You access that felt sense and appease it by tapping. Then you GO BACK to each past similar occurrence. Then you get results.
